SUBJECT: LINGGO NG KABATAAN: PRE-RAMADAN EVENT
Dear Students, Parents and Guardians:
As we draw closer to the holy month of Ramadan, it is very crucial that we recognize and prepare for the shifts in daily routines, priorities and habits. It is important that we prepare our students to the tasks of setting Ramadan goals; and balancing fasting, prayers and personal reflections with academic responsibilities.
It is in this connection that the Linggo ng Kabataan activity will be conducted along this context. Please be informed that the Linggo ng Kabataan: Pre-Ramadan Event for Grades 7 – 12 shall be on February 27-28. This is an after-school activity that consists of congregational prayers, Islamic seminars, reflective activities and Ramadan goals workshops. The activities for male and female students are separated; including the areas of the activities.
The activities shall start after the congregational As’r prayer and will continue until 9:30 p.m. Socialization for an hour follows after all the activities. The event shall officially end the next day February 28 after breakfast at around 6:30 a.m.
All the teachers, ustadhz and ustadas, including selected Admin staff will be with our students all throughout the event to monitor the safety and security. All outputs during the different workshops shall be regarded as academic outputs and shall form part of the performance task grades in specific learning areas for the 4th quarter. We highly expect the attendance of ALL Grade 7 to 12 students.
We shall be collecting a minimal amount of P100.00 for the food expenses (dinner and breakfast). The students may bring extra money or food if they need.
There shall be no classes the next day, February 28 as their attendance to the event is their offset attendance for Friday class.
Students from Kinder to Grade 6 shall have asynchronous classes on Friday, February 28. Your child/ ward’s Class Adviser shall give the details of the asynchronous class. Expected output for the asynchronous class shall be submitted on the same day. The offices are open on Friday.
